Speed into the modern era of skating with Valerio Speed Lab. Scientifically developed and data driven, our methods are produced from years of elite speed skating competition and training, as well as working in the strength and conditioning world. Continual research and application of exercise science, biomechanics, physics, mathematical precision and a bit of psychology, results in a rapid increase in speed, control and performance. Applying practical application of hockey movement and strategy leads to increased efficiency in puck movement, hockey awareness and physical and mental conditioning.

Coach Ott set up a spring program with Drill house. Please contact him directly for sign up and schedule information.
Regis Jesuit Hockey Spring Strength & Conditioning
We will be offering a spring strength and conditioning program through Drill House located at Family Sports Center beginning April 7th. It is my preference that our players take a break from their on-ice activities and focus on building strength in the gym.
Obviously, if your student-athlete is participating in a Regis Jesuit Spring sport, please make that a priority.
The details of the program are below. This will be open to the first twenty-five (25) participants that register with Coach Ott.
Start Date: Monday, April 7th
End Date: Friday, May 22nd
Duration: Seven (7) weeks
Days of the week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
Time: 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm
Location: Drill House @ Family Sports Center
# of workouts: Twenty-eight (28) 1-hour sessions
Cost: $300.00 per student-athlete
Strength and conditioning is crucial because it helps improve athletic performance by increasing muscle strength, power, agility, and endurance, while also significantly reducing the risk of injuries by strengthening supporting muscles, correcting muscle imbalances, and stabilizing joints, allowing athletes to perform at their best with better movement efficiency and control throughout their sport.
Drill House will conduct counter-movement jump testing (CMJ) using ForceDecks throughout the program to measure and improve ice hockey performance indicators.
